We were greeted with ideal season weather including blue skies in the morning a lite winds. We has a fabulous turn-out for this launch with an estimated 40 fliers and spectators. We welcomed six guests to the launch and three new members. Twenty one of our members launched at least one rocket.

We had a number of spectacular launches including and not limited to cluster rockets, multi-stage rockets, helicopter recover rockets and scale rockets. We also had a number of flights utilizing delayed chute release, dual deployment and altimeters. By the end of the day we launched eighty five model rockets, burning 101 model rocket engines with a theoretical total impulse of 2,268 newtons. Daniel Greenwood takes credit for the most launches in the day with 8. Well done. This was our second biggest launch of the season. Refer to the attached Launch and Engines Burned Records.

I would like to thank Taras Tataryn for helping out all day with the processing of flight cards and Bill Gee for managing launch pads 1-8.

Our next launch is on Saturday October 31st, Halloween. I hope that the weather co-operates and that we have a great turn-out as the season winds down.

Cheers

Dear members and guests; The Cambridge Rocket Club hosted it’s second last scheduled launch of the 2026 season on Saturday October 3rd.
